
Located centrally in Edmonton, Alberta with training centers north of St. Albert, Alberta, FNC is well positioned to serve the needs of many First Nations across Alberta. Providing high quality, easy to use, easy to access, educational coursework which includes but is not limited to Grade 1 to Grade 12 First Nation Curriculum, the First Nation Collegiate will roll out “Soft Skills” (secondary school courses), workforce training “Hard Skills” (hands on training) specific to the needs of the students they serve. They will also provide workforce Training courses, Leadership Development courses, Personal Development courses, and Post-Secondary Dual Credit courses for students of any age 5+.
All courses and training modules have been designed and authored by First Nation leaders, educators, Elders, and First Nation allies. Every course is designed with the goal of being easy to understand, engaging and easy to complete. And best of all each course is streamed through a Virtual Classroom Streaming process that operates in real time, at any pace, in any place, and through any space. All that is required for an end user is an internet or satellite connection to connect. “Hard Skills” will be taught at a training facility directly suited to match the hands on skills required by participants.
